Japanese artist Masaru Tasuki's Decotora skillfully exhibits his "pimpin' skills" and produces quite striking masterpieces. To simply put it, pimpin' ain't easy.

Going 150, swiftly ... Lexus LF-A Roadster

This year the Toyota Motor Corporation introduced the LF-A Roadster – a topless version of the previously revealed LF-A coupe. The LF series represents a new direction in design for Lexus – centered around the philosophy of intriguing elegance, incisive simplicity and seamless anticipation.

The high performance topless roadster will be set to complete with some of the most desired vehicles on the roads today. At a glace, the low-profile aerodynamic form is built from lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum, and a rear wing ascends automatically as a trigger speed is reached. While there is no official word with which kind of top the LF-A roadster will be fitted, we’re expected to see a fully automatic retractable hardtop only helping Lexus keep its competitive edge.

Takashi Murakami - The Andy Warhol of Anime

Takashi Murakami (ζ‘δΈŠιš†,, born 1 February 1962 in Tokyo) is a prolific contemporary Japanese artist who works in both fine arts media, such as painting, as well as digital and commercial media. He attempts to blur the boundaries between high and low art. He appropriates popular themes from mass media and pop culture, then turns them into thirty-foot sculptures, "Superflat" paintings, or marketable commercial goods such as figurines or phone caddies.

Murakami attended the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, initially studying more traditionalist Japanese art. He pursued a doctorate in Nihonga, a mixture of Western and Eastern styles dating back to the late 19th century. However, due to the mass popularity of anime and manga, Japanese styles of animation and comic graphic stories, Murakami became disillusioned with Nihonga, and became fixated on otaku culture, which he felt was more representative of modern day Japanese life.

This resulted in Superflat, the style that Murakami is credited with starting. It developed from Poku, (Pop + otaku). Murakami has written that he aims to represent Poku culture because he expects that animation and otaku might create a new culture. This new culture being a rejuvenation of the contemporary Japanese art scene. This is what it is all about to Murakami; he has expressed in several interviews in the last five or six years the frustration that his art has risen from. It is a frustration rooted in the lack of a reliable and sustainable art market in post-war Japan, and the general view of Japanese art in and outside the country as having a low art status. He is quoted as saying that the market is nothing but "a shallow appropriation of Western trends". His first reaction was to make art in non-fine arts media, but decided instead to focus on the market sustainability of art and promote himself first overseas. This marks the birth of KaiKai Kiki, LLC.

An innovative lighting display by Remake Design was unveiled in the Maison & Objet 2008 Expo. I think this would be really neat for the house.

E-PAPER SLAP BRACELETS

Using the same form, Chocolate Agency came up with a mini multimedia device that snaps on with a slap. The entire surface is E-Paper and possesses all its thin, high contrast, power efficient qualities. The length can be adjusted by adding magnetic snaps to the ends. Best part is there's no recharging needed. It gets all the power it needs via kinetic energy.

Pharrell x Louis Vuitton Blason Jewelry Commercial

Chanel Haute Couture - Larger than life

Karl Lagerfeld’s outdone himself again at his S/S ‘08 Haute Couture show at the Grand Palais Tuesday afternoon, upstaging his show last season, which had an oversized black bow tie, with this huge floor-to-ceiling tweed jacket dominating the runway, complete with giant Chanel buttons. Models walked out through the center, while the runway rotated to show off his seashell-inspired designs.

SIGHTING: The Lockness Monster Terrorizes Tokyo

These crazy japanese people do come up with the most creative ideas I've ever seen and I'm loving it. The upcoming movie "The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep" has prompted one hell of a publicity stunt in Tokyo Bay. The extremely cool effect illustrated above is achieved using a large water screen and some very well timed water fountains.

Working while you eat?!?!?! Really?!?!?!?!

Talk about eating and working at the same time - in its most literal sense. This is pretty innovative and cool. Maybe I could solicit these pen caps to professional firms - wouldn't it be a delight.

School: The Archeology of Lost Desires, Comprehending Infinity, and The Search For Knowledge

The newest Damien Hirst's installation at the Lever House, Park Avenue, New York. Dead sheep symbolize students - the sheep are suspended in the tanks, mounted on autopsy tables and have intravenous tubes suspended above.

Pretty disturbing but artistic at the same time.

Daily Nostalgia

Simply beautiful.
