The Scorpion supercar that burns gas like a Honda Civic

According to Ronn Motors, the Scorpion supercar will not only achieve 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, but also earns green credentials by getting 40 miles per gallon. This trick is achieved by having a hydrogen-hybrid engine under the hood (also known as hydrogen injection, Water4Gas or HHO.) Small doses of hydrogen are generated and fed into the fuel mixture, making for a more efficient burn. Apparently this technology is a little controversial, but that hasn't stopped Ronn from putting together a bloody good looking car around that special engine, as the second photo underlines.

Nereus Kite-Powered Water Pod Racer Can Dive

The Nereus is a kite-powered watercraft which looks like the product of an orgy between a hammerhead, a manta ray, a Japanese bike and a Storm Trooper. Inspired by kite-surfing, the designers of this water pod racer say that it will "achieve relatively high speeds on and under water." We don't know how high speed diving can be possible with the sea dragging you, but we know how you make it work.

ccording to them, you would be able to control the Nereus by just turning the handlebars, like using any bike. The handlebars are attached with strings to the kite, employing the same principles used in kite-surfing. To dive, you only have to push down, and the Nereus will dive for a few seconds before emerging again because of the kite dragging it out of the water.

Pierre Hardy 2.0

Olafur Eliasson is a f*n genius!

Long esteemed in the art world, Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson had his pop Genesis moment—Let there be light!—in 2003, when he replicated the sun at the Tate Modern in London. Two million visitors lazed beneath his assembled lamps and mirrors to marvel and even protest. This summer he’s a marquee draw with a trifecta of happenings: a midcareer monograph from Taschen, a survey at New York’s MoMA and PS1, and a multimillion-dollar public-art project in which he’ll install four enormous waterfalls in the waterways around New York City. He’s a transformer of space. With Eliasson’s work, you experience rather than merely view. It’s like you’re 16 again, sky-high for the Dark Side of the Moon laser show, but it’s so much better now because you’re sober, freshly aware that the scope of what art is unfolds and expands around you.
