Wyler Geneve is taking a major role in the coming 30th anniversary running of the Dakar Rally in 2009. The Dakar Rally is an endurance race of machinery - cars, trucks, motorbikes - which in the past has ripped from Europe through Africa. For 2009, the race is going into South America, taking participants on a grueling 9000 km race from Buenos Aires through Chile and back into Argentina. The 30th running of the Dakar Rally will allow Wyler to showcase their new shock absorbing timepiece which is made to hold up under the toughest of situations - even a rollover. That's right. Wyler claims this chrono can withstand a few tons rolling over it. Danger!
